English-4 weeks: Sponsored by the New York Film Academy and Rennert International, Acting plus English is a super-intensive training program that combines the study of Acting and English learning. This unique program begins with a Rapid Progress 30 American English course where students improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills for a minimum of 4 weeks in order to reach an advanced level of English.
Acting-4 weeks: New York Film Academy's world-renowned intensive acting course provides students with a thorough foundation in acting with a specific focus on Acting for Film. This workshop is a full-time program and students must be prepared to make a serious commitment to its completion. A typical week of study involves approximately 30 hours of classes, which meet Monday to Saturday with varying hours each day.
New York Film Academy graduates have gone to work on hit TV shows, Academy Award-nominated films and documentaries, as well as popular music videos and stage productions. Students who partake in NYFA classes will be encouraged to break down physical and internal inhibitions to find the actor within themselves and create truthful characters. In addition to performing in class, each student gets the opportunity to audition for student films or videos which are professionally edited and given to the student to take home as part of their "actor reel."
Upon successful completion of this workshop, students will be granted 3 college credits by New York Film Academy. In addition, students take home a Master Tape of all their projects and receive a New York Film Academy certificate as well as a Rennert International certificate.
