Specialty TESOL Courses

When you finish your TESOL/TEFL Certificate course you will have the basic knowledge and skills of an effective ESOL teacher. Put these skills to work teaching English here or overseas in a variety of worthwhile programs.

If you plan to teach children, this add-on course is invaluable. The TEYL course provides a solid foundation in the methodology behind teaching younger learners as well as practical ideas to use in your classroom. The course aims at providing recently certified ESOL teachers or practicing teachers with the necessary skills, confidence and ability to be able to plan lessons for young learners effectively.

This course can be taken as an add-on to your TESOL Certificate course or separately. Students must have a TESOL Certificate to apply.

The Teaching Business English course covers essential issues, techniques and resources you will need to effectively teach Business English, including analyzing the specific needs of your students, creating a syllabus, teaching essential language functions, lexis and grammar, and a range of fluency activities for business English teaching. The course is designed for pre- or in-service teachers.

The course is designed as an add-on to any TESOL Certificate course but can also be taken as a refresher course. Students must have a TESOL Certificate to apply.

The Refresher Courses for English Teachers are for practicing teachers and teacher trainers who want to gain additional knowledge, and learn the latest techniques, skills and ideas in communicative language teaching. The course can be combined with intensive English study.

This course is for qualified and/or experienced ESL/EFL teachers only. Students must provide proof of teaching qualification or experience to apply.

The English for English Teachers Course is for new and experienced teachers who would like to build up their language skills in order to use more English in the classroom while teaching. This practical course focuses on the expertise necessary to research language and manage all aspects of the classroom in English. You will develop your abilities through hands-on workshops, observations of an experienced teacher trainer and micro-teaching.

Acceptance to the English for English Teachers course provides provisional acceptance to our SIT Best Practices in TESOL Certificate course.
