Rennert International, New York City’s premier language school, will celebrate 50 years of connecting the world through language with special events through 2023. Founded by Cesar Rennert in 1973, Rennert started with one classroom, one teacher, and one language. Five decades later, the enterprise encompasses English and foreign language instruction, translation and interpretation services, professional development for global businesses, and more from its headquarters in Manhattan, NY. Since 1973 Rennert has instructed more than 75,000 students.

The Rennert Experiential Approach to Language (REAL) method prioritizes communication through experience, immersing students in a new language from their first day of study. Teacher-led excursions and internships allow students to experience all New York City has to offer.

“While Rennert has expanded its offerings over the past 50 years, its approach to teaching and language remains the same,” said Eimear Harrison, Executive Vice President, Rennert International. “Cesar Rennert’s vision – fostering connections through experiential learning and cultural understanding – continues to resonate with students worldwide.”

In recognition of its 50th year, Rennert has launched a rebranding campaign that features a 50th-anniversary seal, a modern logo, and a new tagline, “Language Solutions for Life.” Rennert will also host special events throughout 2023 that celebrate the organization’s history and legacy.

In 2018, Rennert joined Berkeley College and is now headquartered at the College’s New York City campus on 41st street, adjacent to the New York Public Library, Bryant Park, and other Manhattan landmarks. Through the venture, Rennert students experience a streamlined pathway to higher education while Berkeley College students benefit from Rennert’s ESL resources and outbound study abroad programs. As of fall 2022, Berkeley College enrolls 420 international students, representing 49 countries.

Rennert is an Official Partner of New York City Football Club (NYCFC), providing language translation and interpretation services as well as ESL to a number of the first team players of NYCFC. Rennert Translation Group provided a team of simultaneous interpreters to cover the FIFA World Cup in 2018 and 2022 for a major television network.

Rennert is a founding member of the International Association of Language Centers, an award-winning global community of language schools. It has been recognized for 11 consecutive years among the top five English Schools in North America by StudyTravel Magazine.
